Frequently Asked Questions

How do the different divisions at the Boo Bash work? What Kind of Teams Are Suitable for the Boo Bash?

The tournament is designed for all kinds of teams that want to compete.  We are a festival format, we are looking to provide a fun weekend of lacrosse.  Please note we do not use A or B level for tournament

  • A Division:  This division is for competitive travel teams and for the few school teams that are among the top 10% in the Midwest and Canada.

  • B Division:  This division is for competitive community and school teams.  It is for those that aren’t quite at the select travel team level.

In the past teams have registered from Canada, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Pennsylvania

When will games be scheduled?

We are going to schedule FESTIVAL games on Saturday October 29 for youth and October 30 for high school.  Game will begin no earlier than 8:00 am. Games on Sunday will end by 6:00 pm at the latest. Festival will play 4 games in one day.

Tournament games will follow the same time format - but teams will play three games on Saturday, and begin playoffs on Sunday - single game elimination - all teams will play at least one game on Sunday.

Are all the games in one place or do we have to drive from location to location?

All games are at the same great location.  Seymour Lake Park, Oxford MI.

How many teams will be at the Boo Bash?

Based on the past years we are expecting 120-130 teams.  Last year we ran out of space with 126 teams and had to start a wait list.  We are fortunate this year that we have more fields available and can accommodate more teams.

What kind of amenities are there at the Boo Bash?

The Boo Bash International Festival features great food and beverages,  full-line lacrosse retail shops, and official Boo Bash merchandise. There’s no need to lug coolers and food around, or stock up on back-up gear. It’ll all be here.

Can we bring a grill and barbecue on the grounds?
